Tai Ji Quan - 36, 48, 64 Form
Tai Ji Quan consists of 3 levels. Level 1: 36 Form, Level 2: 48 Form and Level 3: 64 Form.
Chinese internal martial art of Tai Ji Quan (also known as Tai Chi) teaches people how to be in harmony with themselves and nature. It is therefore “wisdom transformed into movement”. It is a holistic training system in the style of ancient traditions. It encompasses the human being in all its dimensions: physical, mental and spiritual. It is an energy work that leads to holism in the energy flow, with the correct use of breath. In Tai Ji Quan, we talk about SOFT power.
It is suitable for all age groups and can be considered as an excellent introductory art to the internal arts as it does not require previous experience in other sports or arts.
All our instructors teach Tai Ji Quan as group classes and/or private lessons.
For private lessons, you can contact us for your preferred instructor via the contact form.
36 Form Tai Ji Quan : Jing Jian - Essential
This form flow is a “simplified” version of the 64 long Form, based on its fundamental components. It focuses on body structure and stance. It introduces the 8 energies and the 36 parts of the human body. Prepares for more advanced forms such as 48 and 64 Forms. Before practicing this form, one should be familiar with the Basic Stances, Hui Chun Qi Gong and Bu Fa Gong moving meditation.
48 Form Tai Ji Quan : Mian Zhang - Cotton Palm
Miang Zhang (Cotton Palm), known as Tai Ji Quan 48 Form, is the second stage in our WDP training system. Instructors and students who have learned and understood the 36 Form (first and fundamental stage) move on to the 48 Form. While in the 36 Form; structure, expansion and rooting are the main focus, the 48 Form adds flexible and free movements upon this foundation. 12 more parts of the Daoist Body come into play and freedom of movement increases. With the words of Ismet Himmet: 36 Form is done like an “elephant” and 48 Form is done like a “shadow”...
64 Form Tai Ji Quan : Michuan - Secret Tradition
Mi Chuan (Secret Tradition), known as Tai Ji Quan 64 Form, is the final stage in the WDP system. The Daoist Body is now fully opened and this form activates all 64 acupuncture points in the energy body.. Again, with the words of Ismet Himmet: it is done like an IMMORTAL.. To reach this level, 36 and 48 forms must be properly learned, understood and assimilated. This form, which was practiced in complete secrecy in temples in ancient times, has become known and recognized especially in recent years.
